As PUBG Mobile was pulled from India after being banned by the Ministry of Electronics and IT, there appears to be a light at the end of the tunnel. PUBG Corporation has confirmed that it is planning a return to India with the aptly named PUBG Mobile India. The new app will include modified content and in-game customizations to suit local user preferences. In particular, the game will focus on making user data more transparent in accordance with local regulations.
Krafton Inc., the parent company of PUBG, plans to invest $ 100 million in the PUBG Mobile India project. There will be gameplay changes from the start, including green slap effects instead of fully dressed red characters. The company is also planning a feature to monitor the playing time of young players to encourage healthier gaming habits.
There are also plans to set up a local office in India and more than 100 employees to manage communication and user services. There are plans for tournaments, events and other specific Indian entertainment projects for the future. There is no set date for PUBG Mobile India launch.
